More about Annette
Annette started her career in the civil service and graduated with BA Hons in Media, Culture, and Society from Birmingham University. She was offered an internship with ITV at their iconic London Studios. She then pursued a decade-long career in TV production, working behind the camera on high-profile entertainment shows for ITV, BBC, Sky, Channel 4, and Channel 5.
Annette made her marketing debut as a Projects, Communications and Marketing Manager in a high-achieving secondary school in one of London’s most disadvantaged boroughs, Newham, where she experienced some of the most rewarding achievements of her working life collaborating with the local community. She then set up her marketing and communications consultancy, working with some incredible start-ups and organisations across both public and private sectors, and charities on their digital marketing, PR and communications strategies.
Annette is immensely proud of her British/Barbudan dual heritage; she is co-founder of a Barbudan based charity, The Be Foundation, which advocates for locally-driven social and economic empowerment post-hurricane Irma. She also co-founded a professional collective called Be That Change in her local London borough, promoting an equality and anti-racism agenda. She is a passionate advocate for equality and loves music that brings people together.
