Daniel Mortimer

Danny joined NHS Employers in November 2014 from his role as Director of Workforce and Strategy at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Danny has a degree in politics from York University and worked as a porter and health care assistant before becoming a regional trainee in the West Midlands.

Danny’s other roles have included Personnel Manager and General Manager at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, and Deputy Director of Personnel at Brighton Health Care.

His first director post was a joint role for Royal West Sussex NHS Trust and Western Sussex PCT. He subsequently became Director of HR and Organisational Development at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

Daniel is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has been a member of the NHS Employers Policy Board since 2006; he was appointed as its vice chair in June 2008.e
