Since partnering with enei I cannot express enough how transformative this experience has been for me. From the moment we joined, it became evident that this service is not just about providing a product but fostering a community that truly cares about its members.

The level of personal attention and support I received exceeded my expectations. The team at enei go above and beyond to create an environment that is not only inclusive but genuinely enriching. Their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is palpable in every interaction and initiative.

Westminster City Council has been a member of enei for several years now and we really value the resources, events, and guides provided as well as the regular contact with our relationship manager who has been so responsive, helping us to find facilitators for various different sessions in the council; a session supporting our Women’s Network on priority setting, and workshops supporting participants on an inclusive mentoring programme.

We’ve been members of enei for the last year and really value the benefits of membership.  We’ve found the e-learning as part of our membership extremely useful in educating our people and have made use of consultancy time in relation to guidance we’re providing to the business.  The wide range of resources and events available are of an excellent quality and help support the ongoing education of our people.

Emma Dennis, DE&I and Wellbeing Senior Manager, Gowling WLG (UK) LLP

NCH&C has been a proud enei member since 2022, benefitting from special interest events and webinars, expert 1:1 consultations, and the unlimited educational resources. NCH&C is delighted to continue its membership with the independent organisation that helps to keep us accountable and encourages us to strive for more than the basic level of equality that legal frameworks outline. We want to challenge what an NHS organisation’s culture looks and feels like. We want to ensure that we are a healthcare organisation that our employees and patients want to belong to and enei supports us with this goal.

The support and resources provided by enei is astounding. So extensive are the resources, we’re able to use them to craft our own learning materials if we need to. It dually functions as an equalities library for our entire organisation!

The range of opportunities to engage in equalities education and discussion is excellent and our assigned liaison has always been kind and helpful, offering staff to contact her directly and offering attendance at our Equalities Representaion Advisory Groups meeting.

NHS Employers logo

NHS Employers has worked in partnership with enei for several years now – and they have become a trusted and reliable friend and ally to both our work – and the work of our health and social care colleagues across the country. As the largest employer in the UK and Europe, the NHS and the wider health and social care sector has a huge responsibility when it comes to providing fair and inclusive workplaces for our staff and good quality, equitable health outcomes for our patients. enei have supported us all in seeking to meet these responsibilities by providing fantastic training and learning support – often bespoke to our particular sector and communities. Their broad and wide membership across all sectors has also given us access to some great partnership opportunities – and allowed us to benefit from the best / good practice from other sectors. Thank you enei for all that you have done – and continue to do – to support the diversity and inclusion agenda.

Embarking on the journey into the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) field, I found myself in uncharted territory. However, enei has been nothing short of a guiding light, and I am forever grateful I came across them.

I want to take a moment to commend my exceptional account manager, Rebecca. Her unwavering support has been a game-changer in making this journey not just manageable but genuinely enriching. Her responsiveness and dedication to my success have set the bar for exemplary account management.

enei has been a revelation. It’s not just a resource hub; it’s a comprehensive guide, providing me with the roadmap and tools essential to understanding and excelling in the EDI landscape. The curated content, insightful materials, and engaging webinars have not only demystified the complexities of the EDI but have also empowered me to implement effective strategies within our organisation.

Birmingham City Council logo

As a local authority our work is to provide services to meet the needs of our community and we play a crucial role in shaping the quality of life for our residents. Our remit might be significant, but our budgets are not. enei membership gives us access to expertise we don’t always have in-house and their library of resources is accessible to all our staff at the point they need it. We are half-way through our first year of membership with enei and are highly satisfied by the charity’s expertise, knowledge, and professionalism and we believe that we have received added value already.

Rebecca Elia, our account manager helps us make the most of our consultancy hours and her innovative thinking has improved the quality of some of our internal campaigns. We chose enei to help us become a Disability Confident Leader and as that journey continues, the constructive guidance from Hugh O’Keeffe will ultimately make us better employers.

We have no hesitation recommending enei to organisations that are seeking expertise help in the equality, diversity and inclusion space.

We have been working with enei since 2020 as part of our EDI Strategy.  They provide us with detailed thought-provoking toolkits and knowledge of EDI initiatives to use as part of our framework of events.

We have found their consultants to be very knowledgeable and the TIDE benchmarking tool has also assisted us in measuring our progress as a company as well as our clients and partner organisations.

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust logo

NELFT has been members of enei for many years now, and really benefited the support from our personalised account manager, providing opportunities to network with local, national, voluntary, private, and public sector organisations, who share common goals, experience, and challenges.

As a member, we have access to a raft number of resources; training, workshops, webinars, policies and guidance.  enei have provided us with up-to-date legislation and shared case studies.  This has allowed me to further enhance my knowledge, skills, and understanding of the various issues related to equality, diversity, and inclusion.  We have also had access to practices that are evidence based and have worked.  We have achieved a number of awards from enei, which we are very proud of, and feel that is because we have been supported and privy to good practices.  More recently, we have advertised jobs that we deem in the NHS as hard to recruit posts, to try and reach out to a wider market, and this was really successful.  Thank you.

Harjit K Bansal, Head of EDI, NELFT NHS Foundation Trust

Royal College of Nursing logo

From the perspective of someone with a big role with not enough time, enei membership has been invaluable to me.

There are numerous useful webinars throughout the year, that anyone in our organisation can go to. We have consultancy time booked in so when there is an issue, we’re not sure about, or a policy we want reviewed, enei is there to support us. We had no hesitation in renewing our membership at Community Level due to the continued value that is being added in our organisation.

Money and Pensions Service logo

We get so much out of our membership with enei, including guidance and advice on equality, diversity, and inclusion, with support through an unlimited range of webinars and events, access to comprehensive awareness and religious dates calendars, and downloadable resource guides. The monthly checks ins with our account manager Rebecca, is always so beneficial not to mention how personable, resourceful, and friendly she is. And her monthly update email is a winner – letting you know what’s going on, just at the click of button. This is our second year with enei and we plan to subscribe for another year!

I have been so impressed at the level of support and advice I’ve received since I started working with enei. My seconded role is brand new to the National Oceanography Centre – my main focus is on working with staff across the whole organisation to develop our organisational culture, and this includes Diversity, Equality and Inclusion. Although I’ve always been involved in DEI, I’ve never led it before, and have relied so much on my account manager Rebecca Elia, for practical advice and reassurance. Rebecca has been terrific – she was new to enei as I started in my secondment – and I could not have wished for anyone better. She has been highly responsive, manages my expectations well and always lets me know if she needs to check something out with an enei consultant. In addition, the resources available on the website and the range of webinars have been incredibly useful for someone on such a steep learning curve!

I am happy to recommend enei as a trusted ED&I partner for our trust. Last year we achieved our first TIDE gold accreditation award, and are hoping to make this a second year, based on the continuing progress and work. enei are accessible through fantastic account managers, in our case the wonderful Rebecca Elia. Without these elements the value that the trust achieves through this partnership would not be realised. With my experience through other organisations enei is head and shoulders above the rest and long may the trust benefit from the expertise offered and supplied. Thank you enei for being there when we need you.

I have found the support and advice from enei invaluable. They take not only a global approach but consider all aspects of diversity and inclusion which is so important for taking a holistic approach. The advice from the team, the business network, and the wealth of resources have really contributed to the positive progress of our programme.

I contacted enei initially to organise EDI Train the Trainer training for a small group of people in our organisation. We looked at other providers of such training but decided to go ahead with enei because of the membership and its benefits. The training was fantastic—our trainer David was very good and equipped us with skills and knowledge we need to train people in the organisation. He was also so fun to work with. We have been making the most out of the membership since we joined— spreading the word about events and resources among our colleagues and completing the TIDE assessment. We really look forward to working with enei further and making the most of their expertise and networking with other organisations.

Joanna Sopylo-Firrisa, Organisational Development Lead, Make a Wish Foundation

We have found enei to be a useful improvement and benchmarking framework. It has helped us to measure our performance against others and is a good guide to making organisational improvements. The regular awareness and training sessions are something we’ve incorporated into our learning and education offer to staff to improve knowledge and understanding on a range of topics; they’re well organised, have a good range of speakers, and have been well received by staff.
