Gold winners in enei’s TIDE awards set the diversity and inclusion benchmark

The Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (enei) has announced the results of the annual Talent Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) awards, with a record 16 organisations achieving a gold award in 2023.

2023 saw a record number of organisations take part, with over 170 entries from all corners of the UK across a broad range of sectors. Gold, silver and bronze TIDEmarks are awarded to organisations who have ranked the highest on enei’s Talent, Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) Benchmark.

Sandi Wassmer, enei CEO said, “we are delighted to see record numbers of organisations participating in our annual benchmark and demonstrating their commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion. At enei, we know that when people feel they belong at work, they experience more significant meaning, satisfaction, stability and, as a result, are more productive. TIDE is a great way for employers to gauge how they are performing and identify areas for improvement.”

The highest scoring entries are those which demonstrate outstanding progress and commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion aims. Scoring is awarded through 8 different sections including; Your Workforce, Strategy and Plan, Leadership and Accountability, Recruitment and Attraction, Training and Development, Other Employment Practices, Communication and Engagement, and Procurement.

About Talent Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) and TIDEmark

Talent Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) is enei’s self-assessment evaluation and benchmarking tool. It measures an organisation’s approach and progress on diversity and inclusion. TIDE supports flexible and inclusive management of D&I, moving away from strand specific language and approach, allowing organisations to focus on the areas that will make the most difference. It evaluates D&I activities and outcomes with geographic and legislative differences.

All TIDE entries are benchmarked against all other entries each year in the TIDEmark. The best entries are awarded bronze, silver, and gold TIDE awards. Entries for the 2024 TIDEmark are open now.
