enei Announces Record-Breaking Results for 2024 TIDE Awards, Celebrating Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion

The Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (enei) has revealed the results of the annual Talent Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) awards, recognising 126 organisations for their achievements, with 25 attaining gold status. This year’s awards saw record-breaking participation, with 185 entries from 26 sectors across the UK.

Sandi Wassmer, enei CEO, says, “We are thrilled to see a significant increase in the number of organisations taking part in our annual TIDE benchmark, highlighting their ongoing commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion. At enei, we believe that a workplace where people feel a genuine sense of belonging fosters a positive culture and psychological safety. TIDE offers employers a unique tool to assess their current DEI efforts and identify areas for development.”

TIDE is a self-assessment tool that allows organisations to evaluate their diversity, equity, and inclusion activities against enei’s framework. TIDEMarks (gold, silver, and bronze) are awarded based on performance and commitment to DEI across eight categories: Workforce, Strategy and Planning, Leadership and Accountability, Recruitment and Attraction, Training and Development, Employment Practices, Communication and Engagement, and Procurement.

TIDE takes a flexible and inclusive approach, moving away from strand-specific language and allowing organisations to focus on areas that make the greatest impact. It also considers geographic and legislative differences in its evaluation, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of DEI efforts.

An enhanced version of the TIDE Benchmark will be launched in October bringing even more tools and insights to help organisations deepen their DEI impact.

About Talent Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) and TIDEMark

Talent Inclusion and Diversity Evaluation (TIDE) is enei’s self-assessment evaluation and benchmarking tool. It measures an organisation’s approach and progress on diversity and inclusion. TIDE supports flexible and inclusive management of D&I, moving away from strand-specific language and approach, allowing organisations to focus on the areas that will make the most difference. It evaluates D&I activities and outcomes based on geographic and legislative differences. All TIDE entries are benchmarked against all other entries each year in the TIDEMark. The best entries are awarded bronze, silver, and gold TIDE awards.
