We love helping organisations navigate the path to inclusion and belonging.
Wherever your organisation is on its inclusion journey—whether you’re just starting out, working in an inclusive culture, or anywhere in between—our training and consulting programmes can be customised to meet your needs. We are here to help you progress along the journey and create the sense of belonging we are all striving towards.
Disability awareness involves educating individuals about disabilities, and equipping people with disabilities with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively perform their jobs or tasks, thereby separating good practice from poor. Because so much of the non-disabled population is unaware of the barriers people with disabilities face, the flaws of society can go unaddressed.
Our Disability Awareness training involves understanding the different types of disabilities, including both physical disabilities and mental health conditions, and the day-to-day impact they may have on an individual. The training has been designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to interact effectively with people with disabilities and to support everyone to thrive in the workplace.
It covers topics such as recognising assumptions and biases related to disability, recognising barriers to inclusion, understanding different types of accommodations that can be requested and provided, and how to provide appropriate assistance.
The training also helps to create a more respectful and inclusive workplace culture by recognising and understanding the cultural, physical, and economic differences among people with disabilities.
We design and deliver diversity, equality, and inclusion training programmes for everyone, from small teams to entire organisations, either directly or through train the trainer programmes, and work across all disciplines and levels within an organisation, from DEI practitioners through to senior leaders and boards.
