Blogs

Our blog posts are open access and available to both members and non-members. They offer advice and support in the form of opinion pieces on various diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) aspects of the workplace. They may be based on personal experiences and may explore how such encounters had an impact on the contributor and others around them.

  • Equality Act 2010 – The Equality Act 2010 was introduced in England, Scotland, and Wales to simplify equality law in Great Britain.
  • Neurodiversity in the Workplace – The purpose of this guide is to present you with an understanding of neurodiverse conditions in an employment context.
  • Reasonable Adjustments in the Workplace – This guidance is designed to allow you to recognise areas of risk and find proactive policies for creating a working environment that reflects your organisation’s inclusive approach to employment.

Noteable dates

  • ADHD Awareness Month – Observed in October, this month educates the public by sharing reliable, science-based, and peer-reviewed information about ADHD.
  • Autistic Pride Day – Autistic Pride Day, celebrated on 18 June, highlights the significance of pride for autistic individuals and its role in fostering positive societal change.
  • Dyslexia Awareness Week – DAW is an annual event to raise dyslexia awareness and promote allyship and support for affected individuals.
  • Dyspraxia Awareness Week – This is observed annually during the first full week of October. It is dedicated to raising awareness about dyspraxia, which can affect various aspects of daily life.
  • Neurodiversity Celebration Week – This was founded in 2018. It falls in March and is a global initiative that’s all about challenging stereotypes and misconceptions regarding neurological differences.
  • Neurodiversity Pride Day – Neurodiversity Pride Day is celebrated around the world annually on 16 June.
  • Tourettes Awareness Day – Each year on 7 June, people around the world raise awareness of Tourette Syndrome.
  • World Autism Awareness Day – 2 April has been designated as World Autism Awareness Day, established by the UN in 2007, highlights the need to improve the quality of life for people with autism spectrum conditions.
