Supporting Employees in Times of Unrest

Welcome to enei’s hub aimed at assisting your organisation navigate challenging times of social and political unrest.

The image shows the enei strapline of "Include. Inspire. Innovate" at the top, with the windowed image showing an image of a black and white semi-transparent image of many people involved in a protest, holding placards and shouting aggressively. Set against this, in full colour, is a Black female looking off into the distance and looking anxious and pensive, as if she is viewing the scene in her head.

The recent events of unrest and rioting have undoubtedly affected many of us. We recognise that some employers and employees may be particularly impacted by the current situation.

While we are unable to provide specific guidance on communication to your employees, we recommend that your messaging and content is aligned to the organisation’s values and behaviours and your relevant strategies, policies and practices.

We encourage you to consider the in work mental health and wellbeing support available to your employees, such as employee resource groups (ERGs) or employee networks, employee assistance programmes, and other support services.

We have a number of resources which could help inform your approach.
